When I was in high school, I went on a missions trip to Guadalajara, Mexico during spring break with students from our church youth group.
A few months ago, I had the privilege of enjoying an evening of conversation and Thai food with J.R. Woodward. We met at his place in Hollywood (see picture I took from his window) – and then headed down the street to eat.
To be a disciplemaker 1) you have to be with Jesus, and 2) you have to be with lost people. Here’s the incredible wisdom of Jesus disciplemaking strategy – what He did with His disciples is what He expected them to do with others. He called them to follow Him, and He expected them to call others to follow Him.
The best book I read in 2006 was The Externally Focused Church by Rick Rusaw and Eric Swanson.
