Sit back for a moment and enjoy these top posts for October…
The Best of October (as of October 31, 2012)
1. What Does That Say To You? (October 16, 2012)
Sometimes I need to just keep my mouth shut. So do you. Every thought or great insight you may have doesn’t need to be shared. It’s key to coaching leaders: active listening.
2. Dave’s Facebook Fanpage (October 15, 2012)
By God’s grace, I’ve had the great privilege of building relationships with churches, ministries, pastors, church planters, missionaries, coaches, and people all over the world! http://www.facebook.com/dr.davedevries
3. Stop Sending Missionaries to Other Nations (October 6, 2012)
I’d like to challenge churches: STOP SENDING MISSIONARIES TO OTHER NATIONS UNTIL THOSE MISSIONARIES HAVE FIRST BEEN MAKING DISCIPLES OF OTHER NATIONS HERE!
4. Conversation Training (October 19, 2012)
I’m always surprised when I’m at a church service and the “regular attenders” aren’t interested in connecting with a newcomer (namely, me). I’d suggest that churches could improve their engagement with newcomers by offering Conversation Training..
5. Veggie Tales and Church Planting (October 22, 2012)
Recently I read an interview with Phil Vischer (from 2008) where he described some of the things he had learned in the rise and fall of Veggie Tales. As I read I realized that there was a lot of parallel lessons that church planters could benefit from.
Review the posts above and consider what action steps to take to align with the mission of Jesus!
