Jesus never told His disciples to start churches. There’s not even a command to start churches anywhere in the New Testament.

Recently I met with a church planter for lunch. He shared with me a meeting that he had been in recently with other pastors in the area.

Christian Associates is a church planting organization that is starting churches throughout Europe and beyond. Ten years ago they established a B.H.A.G. (Big Hairy Audacious Goal) of establishing 50 churches by 2010.

Bob Logan became a mentor to me as I planted a church in Southern California in 1990. I’ll never forget the conversation we had just a month before our public grand opening.
