So God Made a Farmer

My favorite ad during the Super Bowl today was definitely this one: So God Made a Farmer.

If you missed it – I hope you’ll find it inspiring:

It reminded me of Jesus words in the Gospel of Mark.

Mark 4:26-29
He also said, “This is what the kingdom of God is like. A man scatters seed on the ground. Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how. All by itself the soil produces grain — first the stalk, then the head, then the full kernel in the head. As soon as the grain is ripe, he puts the sickle to it, because the harvest has come.”

Whether in the physical world of farming, or in the spiritual dimension of harvesting — it is the Lord of the Harvest who causes the growth.

Will you join Him in the Harvest Field?

Really cool. Just being reliant upon God in both the physical and spiritual sense for growth. I've worked on a few farms for the last few years and it was a cool illustration to see :)

I really enjoyed this one. I worked on a farm for the last two years during the summer and it really is a lot of work. There is totally the battle of the battle of both the worlds in harvesting, and in both you have to be reliant on the Lord. God is good :)
