[featured_image]When I planted a church in 1990, there wasn’t a Church Planters Bootcamp training available. It wasn’t until October 1992 that the Church Multiplication Training Center launched the first Bootcamp for church planters held in Estes Park, Colorado.
Bill Malick, then director of Church Planting for the Missionary Church Western District, consulted with Bob Logan.
There were 35 people representing 12 new church plants from 7 denominations who attended that first Bootcamp training. From one Bootcamp in 1992, the CMTC has now trained over 5,000 church planting projects for and with over 100 denominations. The training materials have been presented in English, Spanish and Korean languages. The original training curriculum emphasized preparing to launch services as the starting point. The new curriculum emphasizes starting churches by first making and baptizing disciples. For the past twenty years, the CMTC has faithfully trained church planting teams, parent churches and even churches starting over to be focused on reaching unreached people. This continues today!

Today’s Missional Challenge
Don’t start churches to make disciples. Start churches by making disciples!
