[featured_image]What images come to your mind when you picture making disciples who make disciples?
Here’s what I see…
Disciplemaking is messy! And it’s interconnected. It’s not accomplished by one person – there’s multiple people connections involved
Disciplemaking is about following in the footsteps of Jesus. And it requires taking steps to move forward. You can’t just stay where you – you have to go where Jesus is going.
Disciplemaking is about spiritual fruit. Disciples make disciples who make disciples. The fruit of a disciple of Jesus is more disciples of Jesus.
Disciplemaking is about new birth! It’s not just about maturing in Christ, it’s about making new disciples of Christ.
Disciplemaking requires risk! You can’t just stay where you are. You have to intentionally move from where you are if you are following Jesus.
Disciplemaking is fishing… for men. If you aren’t fishing for men, you aren’t really following Jesus. Jesus said, “Follow Me and I will make you fishers of men.”
Disciplemaking is a rescue mission. Jesus came to seek and to save the lost. If we are disciples of Jesus, we are aligned with His mission.
I hope you are encouraged as you look at these photos. I think it’s helpful to use images to see what disciplemaking looks like. Images can help you visualize a future that is far beyond what you see currently.
