The Greatness of God

“O Lord God, You have only begun to show Your servant Your greatness and Your mighty hand. For what god is there in heaven or on earth who can do such works and mighty acts as Yours?” — Deut 3:24

“Your steadfast love, O Lord, extends to the heavens; Your faithfulness to the clouds.” — Psalm 36:5

God is great! There is no other god like Him. He does great and marvelous things! He is near to us when we call. He is compassionate. He will not fail us – or destroy us.

He will not forget His promises. He alone is God! His lovingkindness and faithfulness are unsurpassable. How can we describe His greatness – He’s indescribable!

Because God is so great and caring and near and compassionate, I can trust Him. I don’t have anything to fear. Every day I need to be reminded of how great God is.

I celebrate today the greatness of God!

My prayer…

God, help me to see Your greatness! Show Your great power in my life. Let me know Your greatness and may others see Your greatness and goodness to us. Our eyes are on You alone — we’ve got no one else because there is no one else. We need only You. To our great God be the glory and power and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
