[featured_image]”And when all things are subjected to Him, then the Son Himself also will be subjected to the One who subjected all things to Him, that God may be all in all.” – 1 Corinthians 15:28
This might be one of the most awesome verses in the entire Bible. Paul is arguing the importance of the resurrection to the gospel message. Death will be subject to Christ along with everything else. When this happens, then Christ will subject Himself to the Father. At that point, everything will be subject to the authority of the King of kings.
As Paul says, God will be all in all! He will be first in everything! He will be all in all things.
This verse totally impacts our understanding of why we do anything = so that God will be all in all. As I subject myself fully to the leadership of Jesus Christ, He becomes all in my life. I surrender everything to Him. He is all that matters. He is supreme. He is first place in every place in my life.
As I live myself subject to Him as my all in all, I will attempt to lead others to surrender to His leadership and lordship in their lives. Ultimately, as each believer is subject to Christ, we then seek to bring others to subject themselves to Christ, so that one day, God will be all in all.
Lord, help me to live in subject to You as my King. Help me to lead others to submit to You as all in all until You truly are all-in-all! Amen.
