This past weekend I had the opportunity to stay with my friend Steve Ogne in Southern California. We enjoyed dinner and watching football.

I had an interesting conversation today about disciplemaking.

And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” Immediately they left their nets and followed. (Matthew 4:19-20)

We planted Lake Hills Church in North LA County in 1990.

Last month Larry Barker trained The Multiplication Workshop materials with a group of Philippine pastors via webcam. Last week he sent me a report of his follow-up briefing with these pastors as they implemented the training principles.

When Jesus sent His disciples to make disciples, He actually expected them to do what He said. He expected them to obey!

I met Pastor Jason Lane in Little Rock, Arkansas several months ago. He attended The Multiplication Workshop – and then headed back to lead his church in Palmetto, Florida to engage in making disciples who make disciples.

My friend and colleague Dan Riemenschneider works with churches across the country to help them focus on making disciples who make disciples. His passion is strengthening local churches. Together, we’ve developed a training process that helps churches to re-engage with the mission of Jesus.

Have you ever wondered what Jesus would do if He’d been born at the beginning of the 21st Century instead of 2000 years ago?
