One of the reasons that many pastors don’t personally disciple anyone is that they don’t know HOW to make disciples. That’s what one of my friends suggested to me in a recent email.

When I was in high school, I went on a missions trip to Guadalajara, Mexico during spring break with students from our church youth group.

A few months ago, I had the privilege of enjoying an evening of conversation and Thai food with J.R. Woodward. We met at his place in Hollywood (see picture I took from his window) – and then headed down the street to eat.

To be a disciplemaker 1) you have to be with Jesus, and 2) you have to be with lost people. Here’s the incredible wisdom of Jesus disciplemaking strategy – what He did with His disciples is what He expected them to do with others. He called them to follow Him, and He expected them to call others to follow Him.
